We’re so excited to be giving away 6 awesome coffee table today thanks to our amazing and very generous publisher, Abrams. These are some of our favorite fashion, design and photography books of the moment. Leave a comment below to enter until Monday at 5 PM EST; the winner will be emailed soon thereafter! Good luck!
Tim Walker’s photography has been a constant source of inspiration for us. We love how theatrical his images are. His new book, Tim Walker Story Teller showcases 170 new photographs from his most recent work, featuring many A-listers in fashion and Hollywood, including Tilda Swinton, Helena Bonham Carter, and Alber Elbaz. The book includes a foreword by Kate Bush, an introduction by writer Robin Muir. Isn’t that an amazing cover photograph?
This book, Vogue, the Editor’s Eye draws from Vogue’s exceptional archives, focusing on the work of eight of the magazine’s legendary fashion editors (including Polly Mellen, Babs Simpson, and Grace Coddington) who collaborated with photographers, stylists, and designers to create the images that have had an indelible impact on the fashion world. Featuring the work of world-renowned photographers such as Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, and Annie Leibovitz and model/muses, including Marilyn Monroe, Verushka, and Linda Evangelista. This is a beautiful book.
Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel chronicles 50 years of international fashion and Diana Vreeland’s rich life. With more than 350 illustrations, including original magazine spreads and many famous photographs, this intensely visual book shows fashion as it was being invented, and how Vreeland shaped American taste through her superb vision. I’m hoping Santa Claus has put this on my list. This is an autographed copy!
Georgia O’Keeffe And Her Houses Georgia features O’Keeffe’s two houses in New Mexico—at Abiquiu and Ghost Ranch—which are essential elements in her paintings, but their history has never before been detailed. The bountiful illustrations include photographs made especially for this book showing the houses as they are today, photographs of O’Keeffe at home by major photographers, and her paintings of the houses and the landscapes surrounding them.
Renowned interior designer Steven Gambrell’s first book is full of beautiful spaces, many of which are painted in his signature icy blue–We’ve been trying to replicate this color for years to no avail! Gambrel wrote the book himself, which we really appreciate, and we love reading the inside stories behind his stunning interiors. His signature mix of the modern and the traditional is inspirational. We love this book!
And of course, our book! Putting together this post reminded us of how lucky we are to have had the opportunity to write a book together (thank you Andrea Barvzi and Dervla Kelly for believing in our vision). We’re absolutely honored to have been published by the same house as the amazing books we’re giving away today. If you know a friend, a bride-to-be, or a favorite family member who is looking for a guide to choosing the essential furniture pieces that make a house a home, share our book with them.
The 6 (!!!) books you could win sitting on our coffee table at home…
Happy holidays, everyone!
