I don’t have a boyfriend this Valentine’s Day. Come to think of it, I didn’t have one last Valentine’s Day either (no sighing allowed!). But that doesn’t mean I’m not going to get my V-day fix, and to all my other single ladies out there (Beyonce playing in my head as I write this) I think it’s the perfect time of year to indulge a little and pick up something feminine and totally frivolous just for YOU. Here are a few of the things on my Valentines Day list, some of which I already own and can vouch for 100% (they make you feel like a lady every time) and others I’m just dying to get my hands on. And if there are any men out there reading this (are there?), I would say any of these things would be a home run for your honey this Thursday.Only Hearts has been around awhile but they are still a go-to for lacy underpinnings that are soft and comfortable, but still sexy.Suzanne and I went on a bit of a beauty buying binge last week (this is the problem with having Bloomingdales across the street from the D & D building). We somehow convince ourselves that after hours of work in that windowless, some might say soulless building, that we deserve to get ourselves something. I had been hearing about the wonders of the new Giorgio Armani Rouge D’Armani Sheer Lipstick for sometime now so we headed straight for the GA counter. We each picked up two different shades–500 and 402 for me, and 502 and 600 for S. These lipsticks are the bomb. They really hydrate your lips (great for this kind of weather) but can be as translucent or bold as you want. Seriously, I have not found a lipstick I like this much since Chanel Rouge Allure (Romantic). The colors look really strong at first but they go on much lighter and sheerer. Ok, this perfume is MAGIC. I don’t ever want to stop wearing it. It’s expensive, and I was reticent at first to spend so much on a perfume, but it is worth every penny. I love all of Dannijo’s jewelery, but I especially like their earrings. Look at how fabulous they look on the model (right). I don’t think I’d want to wear the whole set of jewelry like her, but just this pair of earrings could totally up the ante on just about any outfit. One of my best friends bought me a pair of these PJs from J Crew for my birthday last year in white with navy piping (monogrammed, of course). I actually get excited every time I put them on. It’s so much more civilized to wear a real PJ set than some random assortment of sweatpants and ratty old t-shirt (what I used to do before I discovered the benefits of “formal” pajamas). So, I’m curious, who’s doing what I’m doing and buying themselves something special for Valentine’s Day? What are you going to get yourself?
