I wrote about the flattering effects of the popular boyfriend-style blazer in my 5 Great Pieces post on 2/19. Getting dressed in the morning is not easy for me (I am usually half asleep) so if it weren’t for my growing collection of boyfriend blazers (they’ve become my go-to staple), I think I’d really be in trouble. For me, throwing on one of these jackets over a pair of skinny jeans or slim-leg cropped pants is instant chic. The jackets above by Topshop, Erin Wasson, and See by Chloe, respectively, are my favorites right now. And if you’re not looking to buy, a lot of the jackets you already own can be modified to be more in the vein of these pieces by simply rolling up the sleeves or pushing them up past your elbows. I love how this little trick lends that “I’m not trying too hard, but aren’t I glamourous?” air to your look. – L
