ribbon and crystal jewelry

Ever since famed French fashion house Lanvin started selling their now signature grosgrain ribbon and crystal necklaces, we’ve wanted one. Alas, throwing a grand at a single necklace is not in the cards…at least not right now. However, we’ve been seeing lots of great knock-offs (err…interpretations) out there recently that we thought we’d share. These types of necklaces should be worn with a simple outfit. We love it over a crew-neck white fitted tee a la Prada Resort ‘09, or with a little black cocktail dress. The bracelets (below) are perfect on their own or stacked with a few others from your personal collection (especially the one from Made Her Think). And at very reasonable price points, these pieces make great gifts (hint, hint mom, my birthday is coming up)! – L

I took a long strand of turquoise beads and twisted them and then used an olive silk velvet ribbon and tied it – a floppy bow…and everyone wanted to know where I got it…!

The $88 guess necklace you posted is EXACTLY like the $10 below. They have been uber-popular for a while now in Asia – I think Guess actually copied them. Guess did not design it. I’m disappointed – 9 times more plus tax, that’s crazy.
