check us out in Traditional Home magazine’s march issue!

Published on Jan 13th, 2010 by goodbone

We are thrilled to finally show you images of Lauren’s first apartment. The two of us had a blast decorating it together, and are so happy to have gotten the opportunity to be featured in Traditional Home. For all you apartment dwellers out there, we hope this story inspires you to make the most of your small space! A big thank you to Candace Manroe for making this article happen. – S & L

Unique, classy, fun apartment. You both did a terrific job creating a lovely first home for yourself (& daughter). I adopt the approach to purchase good pieces and not chasing trends. Less waste and a stellar philosophy. Congrat’s on having your apartment published. You must both be so proud and thrilled?!!

Ladies,
I love this! There are some pieces in there that follow your philosphy, good bones great pieces. I have been going back and forth on ticking for a pair of club chairs I have and I think that loveseat made the decision for me. Great 1st apartment for Lauren.

First, congratulations. Second, regarding upholstery. Is there a rule of thumb re: how much to spend?
I always see these “I found it on the curb on trash day” stories – but doesn’t re upholstery often make it more expensive than new?
You guys do good better best – I’d love to see that applied to re purposing old and loved pieces. With $ amounts please.

Congrats on the wonderful article. Cute apt. As an antique gallery we loved the quote by Lauren “We are not interested in chasing the latest trend. We are all about investing wisely in classic pieces that I can potentially, own forever.” Wise beyond her years!
