Our goal is to provide our readers with a daily guide to style–whether it’s tips on how to re-vamp a traditional dresser or where to go to get a great deal on designer shoes. We want to share our passion for all things style with you!
When it comes to interiors, our intent has always been to create rooms that always look fresh and inspired, using an inventory of key pieces that are so classic, so flexible, you can move them from room to room and from home to home for a lifetime. For us, decorating is not about the quick fix and it’s the opposite of chasing the latest trends. It’s about making choices that allow for the most versatility (and reflect good taste). We tell our friends, family, and clients to choose pieces for their homes that they love today, and that they know they’ll still feel the same way about ten or fifteen years from now. It sounds simple, but it works.
The same theories hold true in fashion. Timeless pieces don’t have to translate to boring. We wear and buy clothes because they fit impeccably and are well-made (and that doesn’t necessarily mean expensive!). We are tireless bargain hunters and consignment store and sample sale stalkers. We’ve learned that accessorizing with the latest shoe, bag, or statement necklace is the easiest (and most affordable) way to update your look—as well as have a little fun along the way!

As a former Style Editor and Producer at Martha Stewart Living Television, Suzanne oversaw hundreds of television segments focused on home decorating, collecting and crafts. She is an alumna of Barnard College and Parsons School of Design. She formed her first Manhattan design firm, Suzanne McGrath Design, in 1990.
Lauren is a graduate of Bowdoin College and a former fashion features writer for Teen Vogue magazine in New York City. As a young girl, she followed her mother to countless antique fairs, construction sites, and trips to the D & D building in Manhattan. Not much has changed—the duo still spend their weekends trolling flea markets and consignment stores all over the east coast.
