Hey there! I loved the spread in Good Housekeeping’s Sept. 2010 issue. I was wondering where you picked up the white island in the kitchen. Good Houskeeping stated that it was a “chain-store steal on wheels” yet didn’t state where I can get it!

It was from Crate & Barrel. Not sure they still carry same, but they have others in same dimensions that'll do the trick.

Hi Suzanne and Lauren!
My mom and I love your blog. We found your post-college overhaul in Traditional Homes magazine and I just think it’s perfect. I am in the process of moving into a new apartment and I have found some great pieces… but I need some advice. I LOVE your caned chair and I found a similar one for only $10 (gasp)… but I’m wondering if you can give me some pointers as to how to paint something like that.
